Hi Kev, with regards to the preparation of particles, one other little challenge Trev and I have is fitting the mountain of gear in to his van and my roof box.. we've been talking about what we can do to reduce the number of items we need to take and the sack(s) of particles is one that will take up a fairly large amount of space... do you know if the local super U, intermarche, Leclerc etc stock particles similar to this www.4furryfeet.com/xcart/catlog/Buckton-Pigeon-Widowhood-20Kg-p-1748.html or would you guys be able to supply something similar? To give you a bit of confidence in making sure we'll prepare the bait correctly, we'll soak the bait for 24hrs in lake water and cook on the bank for at least 30 mins, we'll bring a few kg's already prepared to see us through the first 24hrs... we'll also be bringing a cooler box to put the boiled particles in which will continue to cook them when off the gas ring.. it's an arrangement we've used on a number of trips and works well.. looking forward to getting stuck in to the lake, the more I read the more I like the sound of it.. it's not your typical 6ft everywhere featureless French venue, as you say, a real gem of a lake by the sounds of it that should offer something a little different. see you soon mate cheers Gary

Hi Gary
We do supply parti blend. If for every reason we run out there are a number of shops we can get it from. Dont worry about using your gas up for cooking it up. We have a Very large burner and a hugh cooking pot for cooking it up. Just put it in soak the day befor and when you want it cooked give it to me.
Its certainly not a shallow lake thats for sure. Kev will be able to tell you, he has had an unwanted swim on a number of occassions
Take care
Sue

Is there only one catfish in the lake? Also how many carp are estimated to be in the lake? Cheers Marc.

we have only put in 1 catfish for a dustbin. There are 150 carp that we know of. We were told by the previous owner that there was carp already in there but we have no proof.
