Sorry for the lack of up dates but due to the river Meuse bursting its bank near our lake we have had a bit of a handful on our hands. This is the first time it has happened since we have owned the lake. The water flooded a neighbouring field that then flooded the small lake next to ours which then over flowed into ours. This caused all the swims at one point to be under water. Thankfully it has gone down quickly and the only swim that is out of action now is swim 1. Kev and I would like to give a HUGE thank you to Wilco, Johnny, Miak, Mark, Ronald and Peter for all their help the week they where on. On that note I am going to bypass May as even though a few carp where caught (biggest being 37lbs) I can not recall the sizes. 8th-14th JuneThis week we had Ian, Big Dave, Little Dave, Nick and Leigh. Ian and Nick fished swim 8/9 and banked 3 carp between them. Biggest being 37lb8 which was a new pb for Ian. both the Daves fished 2/3 and banked 5 carp. Little Dave managed to beat his pb twice. First with a 30lb8 and then with a 35lb. Leigh who was on 5 had two runs on the first night but went home not landing a carp. Daves 35lber Daves 30lber 20lb+ Big Daves Carp 14th-22nd JuneWhat a temperamental weeks weather wise. One minute its 41.2 degrees, next thunder storms and wind, the next struggling to get to 20 degrees. However fishing was not too bad. Nils And Didier fished for 3 nights on 8/9 and banked 3 carp between them. Didier had 2 of those with the biggest being 27lbs. Nils only landed the one but it was a new Pb of 46lbs. They also lost a couple due to getting their line tangled up with their marker. Alexander and Dirk fished 2/3 until Friday and had 5 runs = 3 carp on the bank with the biggest being 28lbs. Unfortunately Dirk had to miss one of the runs as a massive lightening storm hit when the fish picked up the bait. He said it was very had convincing himself it was not a good idea to pick up a carbon rod while lightening is lighting up the skies and even hitting a tree only 20 meters away from where he was fishing. All fish where caught on our fish and garlic boilies. Finally Roger came with his girlfriend Nicky and fished 5. He had 6 runs and banked 5 carp including a 37lb3 and a new pb of 38lb6. Our Fish and garlic helped catch 4 of these and good old plastic maize over particle caught the other

20th July-29th JulyThis week we had Kevin, Class, Nick, Leo, Ben and Mick. Temperatures were in the mid 40s most days. Quite a few nights they had thunder and lightening storms. On Saturday a massive storm hit. We lost quite a few trees but thankfully no one was hurt, only a bivvy got injured. We did have to cut Kevin out of swim 5 at trees fell either side of him. It proved to be a hard week with only 8 fish banked up to 34lb7. 3rd August-10th August
The lake is nearly back to normal now. There will be plenty of fire wood this year to keep us warm!! Temperatures have now settled down to comfortable 25-28. Had quite a few people coming and going this week. Alexander came back for the 4th time and fished swim one for 3 nights and managed to bank one of around 20lbs. Micha fished with his non fishing wife in 2 for 3 nights and banked 2, biggest being 35lb3. Yurau fished 8 for 4 nights and managed 7. All caught from the plateau using particle mix and our milk and ice cream boilies. Nothing massive though. Rick came along with his non fishing buddy and fished on 7 but unfortunately went home without catching. Bas came back after a 3 year break from fishing and fished his favourite swim number 5. Luck for once wasn’t on his side this time and he only managed to bank one at 22lbs. Kevin and Netty(non fishing) came back for their 3rd visit and after only catching a couple of small ones on swim 4 decided to jump into swim 1 once Alexander had left. Can certainly say it was the right move as he banked a further 5 carp including 2x40lbers to 41lb3. Both the 40lbers where caught on a small bit of pepperami tipped with plastic corn. My Kev actually done some fishing for 3 nights and jumped into 8. He managed to bank 6 consisting of 24, 26lb12, 28lb8, 29lb2, 32lb and 38lb. All of his was caught on our fish and garlic boilies over a bed of particle mix. In total this week there was around 30 runs and 24carp banked 41lb3 40lb7 32lb 38lb

Weather was good with average Day temperatures of around 26 degrees. The nights did drop a fair few degrees and mist was seen most mornings. Barry was in swim 8/9. Have to say he did struggle as he was unable to reach the plateau with his bait as he was using Nash Soluballs and his bait boat was broken. He did managed to land 2 carp the biggest being around 27lbs at a guess as he forgot his scales. Next we had Anthony who was in 6/7. Again he struggled but he did managed to bank 2 the biggest being 24lb10. Mark was in swim 5 and banked 5 with the biggest being a new pb at 35lb8. In swim 4 we had David who landed 3 up to 22lb8. Finally but no means least we had Alan in swim 1. Well what can say, He didn't just do well he basically Smashed that corner to pieces. Been a frustrating couple of weeks. Fish have been showing and crashing with obvious signs of feeding. Yet some lads have struggled where others have done ok. Some of the fish landed as follows. 2x 40lber and a 45lbs out and also quite a few 30s up to 39lb15. Sjoerd had carp up to 35lb3. All where caught on maize. Daryl and John fished swim 6/7 and had Carp up to 35lb14. Most of theirs were caught on our fish and garlic boiles. Tom and Leroy both managed Carp up to 35lbs. Tim also had a new pb of 43lbs and a 38lb from swim 1 also caught on our boilies. Gary who was in swim 2 had carp to 30lb8. Dave manage to catch a few to 29lbs from swim 8. Wayne and Simon fished swims 6/7 the last week and banked 10 between them. Just waiting for the weights of all of them but i know Wayne had a new pb of 45lb and Simons biggest was just short of 40lb weighing in at 39lb15. Simon H had a lovely common of 38lb + from swim 1, no pic though I will post a few pictures as soon as google chrome stops crashing on me.
