April 23rd-30th 2011Tempertures still above 30 degrees this week but still no sign of the carp spawning. Eric and Danny squeesed in a 2 night stay and Eric manage to bank 2 and lost 1. He had a 18lb7 and a 30lb9 mirror from swim 2 Ben, Jon and Chris where here for the week. Chris managed to beat his pb twice from swim 6. First with a 22lb7 common then smashed this with a 37lb6 Mirror John in swim 8 banked 3 and also got a new pb. He had one Mirror weighing in at 25lb and 2 commons at 29lb8 and 37lb Ben in 9 (aka Nemo) worked hard all week creating his own little beach area. He banked a lovely 23lb and smashed his pb by landing a stonking 47lb13 mirror on the last night On Monday Matt, Mike and Mike (father and son) came for 5 nights Matt who was in 5 landed 3x30lber including another PB. Weighing in at 30lb, 36lb5 and 38lb12 (still waiting for the other photos) Mike (dad) was in swim 3 and managed to land a baby carp weighing in at 14lbs I think top rod has to go to Mike (son) this week. It was his 3rd time here and he finally managed not only bank 4x30lbers but he also beat his pb 3 times!!! 3 lovely mirrors at 30lb8, 33lb 35lb and drop bank common at 36lb Returning Drop back common Unfortuantly the photo of the 30lb8 was out of focus and still waiting for a picture of the 35lb as this was caught late afternoon yesterday

Hi there
sorry for the lack of catch reports. Been busy with paper work etc. The fishing has slowed down the last couple of weeks. Some fish caught have shown signs that they have spawned but others have still been spawn bound. Dont think the main event has happened yet. Weather has really cooled down the last couple of days as well. Some nice fish have been out including a 38lb8 mirror on Sunday night. At the moment the smaller fish seem to be feeding more with lots of 20lbers+ gracing the banks. Fingers crossed they get it over and done with in the next couple of days. We are due some hotter weather as of tomorrow which i think will bring the full spawning on. Fingers crossed for you. Take care and see you on Saturday
Sue
