26th March - 2nd April Well guys I dont really no what else to write apart from, WELL DONE THAT MAN. Stephen had our first fish out of the year, not only beating his personal best but smashing our lake record. We are very very pleased indeed to say that Stephen landed a 54 lb Mirror on his home made garlic boilies. ] His friend Peter was not having much luck until the last night where he managed to bank a 34lb2 Common and a lovely new pb mirror at 44lbs

well done, nice fish, but you really need to learn how to hold a carp for a picture, don't think sue and Kev would be to happy if you where to drop it, let alone use it as a promotion picture for there lake

Hi sue and kev, it,s richard from Blackpool i fished 1st week september with Lee, Chris and a few others last year!. Great news that 54lb fish is it an unknown fish or has it had any previous captures? or more to the point did it have any little marks in its mouth?.As soon as i saw it got me thinking it could have been the donkey i lost, was it caught near peg 4?.Hope you are all well and will hopefully see you soon.

Hi Richard
I remember you. Think it was Nick who took 45mins to land a lovely 46lber. Also remember you saying you lost a donkey. It was no where near swim 4 if it makes you feel any better. More like swim 9. The guys did not comment about the mouth. Think he was a little to over whelmed getting the new lake record out. Plus it was early hours of the morning. Not 100% sure what fish it was. There are a couple it could be but due to hands covering scales etc we are not sure. All is good here hopefully the same with you too. take care
Sue

2nd-16th AprilThe first week in April was very slow. With only a couple of 20lbers being banked and a few more lost. Last week things where a little better (9th-16th) with a few lovely fish being banked. During the day the temperture soared to around 30 degrees for a few days but the nights where only just above 0. However Stuart managed to land 2 x 20lbers up to 25lb3 from swim 9 using a bit of good old faithful sweetcorn/Maize. John and Kees who were first on swim 7and 8 then John moved to swim 5, changed their bait to sweetcorn over a bed of Hemp and managed to bank 5 in less then 24 hours. All where lovely mirrors weighing in at 26lb, 27lb5, 36lb5, 41lb2 and last but not least a 44lb4. Still waiting for the pictures of Johns and Kees fish. HINT HINT you guys. Here are the photos of Stuarts fish

16th-23rd AprilAnother scorching week. Average day tempertures was 30 degrees in the sun with very little wind. Proved a hard week for Rhonny who was here for 4 nights but he did land a lovely mirror of around 25lbs(no weigh scales). Joeri was here for the week and lost a couple but also managed to land one around the same weight as Rhonnys. Danny and Phillip(aka mudd boys)came back for their third time for 3 nights. Good old maize done the job for them and they managed to bank 3 carp and lost one. Danny had 2 lovely mirrors weighing in at 29lb9 and 39lb9. Phillip banked a mirror of 29lb7(picture below)

It's nice to see one from the mud boys with their fish :-) Anyway, me & Kim had a really great time over there and we definitely come back in 2012.
Greetz and take care...
